My final walk of the month was one led by Brunel Walking Group. Known for finding hills in her routes, Jenny took us down to a relatively flat portion of South Somerset and the Levels.

A Priddy Good Walk – June 2018

Priddy is an area of the Mendip Hills that I know quite well. I’ll often refer to it as one of my favourite sections and visit it in preference to some of the more frequently-populated areas, like Black Down.
This was a group walk that I decided to attend, having not been out with other members for several weeks and knowing that it was likely to be a good experience, whichever routes we would follow.

I awoke in my tent, after my first night of camping down in South Somerset. My intention for this day was simple: leave the car alone and go for a walk that explores the immediate landscape. I’d already highlighted a nearby river that I could use as a guide to lead me on to Langport and back.
