Pen y Ghent from Horton-in-Ribblesdale

A circular walk up to Pen y Ghent and on to Plover Hill, from Horton-in-Ribblesdale. September 2020.

Friday 18th September 2020

After four memorable days in the Yorkshire Dales, it was almost time to head home to North Somerset. I’d packed away my damp tent and all associated gear from inside. With my car boot fully loaded, I still had one more stop on my mind.

Malham and Fountains Fell

A 14.5 mile walk in the Yorkshire Dales. Taking in Malham Tarn, Malham Cove, Malham Moor, Fountains Fell and the Pennine Way.

Ease Gill, Crag Hill and Gragareth

15/09/2020: My second walk from a week in the Yorkshire Dales. Crossing the border in to Lancashire, for a 13 mile walk around Crag Hill, Great Coum and Gragareth.

Tuesday 15th September 2020

This would be my second walk in the Yorkshire Dales. Although it would first involve a twenty-minute car journey away from Ingleton and in to… Lancashire! However, I was still within the boundary of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
