By the time we all arrived and parked our cars in Saundersfoot, everyone had packed up in preparation for the drive home to Bristol.

Of course, we were going to squeeze a walk in before then! A couple of options were available and I had signed up to co-lead a walk of around eight miles.

Saturday had come and, with it, the opportunity for another inland walk around one of Pembrokeshire’s many pockets…

Narberth to Llawharden Castle (Pembrokeshire)

Our long weekend in Pembrokeshire had begun. It was Friday morning and we were all looking to get our boots on.

Three levels of walk were available to join and I picked the one that sat in the middle: not too long, not too short and, in stark contrast to the rest of the weekend; not following any portion of the Pembrokeshire Coast Path.

The Hideaway

Looking back at my AirBnB accomodation from a long weekend in Pembrokeshire – November 2017.

Thursday 16th – Sunday 19th November 2017

When I intended to join Brunel Walking Group for a long weekend in Pembrokeshire last month, I could’ve bear the thought of sharing a Youth Hostel – let alone any space – with anywhere between fifty and sixty people. I’d seen images of the YHA; it looked both modern and full of facilities. Maybe one day I’ll feel more comfortable in approaching such a situation.

I didn’t want to miss out on this weekend, as I have done for each of the previous four years. This left me with the decision to find my own accomodation, for which I eventually turned to the AirBnB website.
