Introducing Caffeine Bullet

As a member of the Outdoor Bloggers community, I was very grateful to have recently been given the opportunity to connect with a new brand and experience a product that is new to the UK market.

Caffeine Bullet is the name.

My social media following is comparatively ‘low’, compared to some of the others within this blogging community and so, my opportunities to experience certain offers tend to be limited.

As someone who frequently adds energy tablets and electrolytes to my hydration bladder in preparation for a full dayhike, I’ve been keen to see what these chews are like.

My first impressions are that they’re very convenient – perhaps even more so that anything that’s water water soluble. In an emergency situation, for example; perhaps even at a time where your part way through an outing and you need that kick to complete a walk… Accessing a water system in any backpack can be a hassle.

But unwrapping a chew and sticking it in your mouth? So easy!

In my daily life, I generally try to avoid caffeine products [unless it’s surrounded by cake…] as caffeine is know as being a trigger for anxiety… And my daily dose of ‘Anxie Tea’ is strong high enough without adding stimulants!

As a walk leader, I will ensure to carry a small quantity of these Caffeine Bullet chews in my ’emergency pack’, which currently contains a small notepad, ICE card, a whistle and other small items. People often talk about the importance of gels but I know that a number of people don’t actually like the gel products – and that’s without succumbing to Paula Radcliffe levels of catastrophe!

I’m writing this post to raise awareness of a new product to the market and a perhaps more appealing alternative to gels and tablets. My other point is that this need not solely be aimed at fast-moving athletes.

I’d like to write back in the future after more of a long-term assessment with this product. My only initial concern would be the use of non-recyclable packaging that could easily be caught by the breeze on a mountain summit, in this increasingly plastic-conscious society… But, it wouldn’t be fair to single out this (new) company when so many others are guilty of a greater crime.

Thanks for reading and I hope you’ll see their website for further information.
