Snow Along The Yeo – March 2018

As temperatures appear to have settled at fairly comfortable and spring-like double figures, there’s a suggestion that the southern half of the UK could be set to face further snowfall and sub-zero temperatures, as of the coming weekend!

Some sources contradict this. All I know for certain is that the wind continues to head or way from the east… Just as it did over a week ago now, when we saw the first significant snowfall for several years.

Cadbury Hill Walk

As far as I’m aware, Cadbury Hill near Yatton is the one former hillfort site that’s closest to my home in Wrington.

For a number of reasons, I’d not been there since February 2013. On this walk, I’d set off from my doorstep, leaving the car alone to head for its summit.

Chew Magna Walk

I have very recently turned thirty-two and, to celebrate the occasion (albeit, eight-days later), I decided that I would lead a walk for a group people…

In spite of my struggles with social anxiety, a lack of social skills and other issues, I felt like doing ‘something different’ and wanted to share a walk in one of my favourite areas. I stopped doing things to keep up with other people (like drinking) nearly ten-years ago and I dislike loud parties and crowds.

That walk took place yesterday and I was amazed to have ten people walking with me. Weather was also very much on our side! Back in early March, I set out one Sunday morning on a bit of a ‘reccy’ for a few hours, to investigate a series of different footpaths.
