My final walk of the month was one led by Brunel Walking Group. Known for finding hills in her routes, Jenny took us down to a relatively flat portion of South Somerset and the Levels.

Long Sutton and the River Ivel

I awoke in my tent, after my first night of camping down in South Somerset. My intention for this day was simple: leave the car alone and go for a walk that explores the immediate landscape. I’d already highlighted a nearby river that I could use as a guide to lead me on to Langport and back.
Vango Ark 200+ Tent
Unable to fulfil my ambition of backpacking along The Ridgeway in five-days and, with a week off work to savour, I spent a couple of nights at Brook Farm campsite in Long Sutton, South Somerset.
This was my first opportunity to use my latest tent purchase, the Vango Ark 200+.
