It was time to complete my seventy mile long. In perhaps only another couple of hours, I could complete the Cumbria Way and arrive in Carlisle, just in time for lunch.

I emerged from my tent on this morning, with a view of an almighty Skiddaw beyond the dry-stone wall. Blue sky for the most part, sun already shining. A youth hostel with all facilities behind me. This was going to be a good start to my penultimate following this trail.

This will be my first long-distance walk since completing the Cleveland Way in 2021. As before; I’ll be carrying all of my kit and camping along the way!
