Can You Walk Around Blagdon Lake?

I hope I’m not mistaken but I don’t think I’ve quite written about whether or not you can walk around Blagdon Lake… Certainly, I’ve covered Chew Valley Lake and, if I have written about Blagdon’s own reservoir, there’s a chance the post was anything but minimal in length.

So, I’m writing again, in an attempt to create something more succinct (or, at least as much as I can do!).

Severn Way: Elmore, Gloucestershire

My previous walk of making progress in my walk along the Severn Way was all the way back in April, would you believe! I’d never intended to leave it this long in between. A ‘busy’ summer played its part in that.

So far, I’ve followed the trail north from Bristol and, at the time of writing, I’m about to enter Gloucester in my next walk. Beyond that, I’m only looking to trek as far as Tewkesbury, while the Severn Way continues for another 150 miles or more.

Godrevy to Portreath (SWCP)

This was a 13 mile route that I had devised and plotted myself, to lead Brunel Walking Group on what was our second day of a long-weekend camping in Cornwall. As far as the weather was concerned, it would also happen to be the stand-out most beautiful of them all.

Ridgeway Logistics

Although I said this a year ago and nothing is official at the time of writing, I’m aiming to walk The Ridgeway National Trail this year, with a preference for the end of May.

A year ago, I wrote a short series of posts on my plans and intentions for backpacking the long-distance trail (you’ll find links to those posts further down). Now, I’m looking ahead to this challenge for 2018, with perhaps the only outstanding issues to consider.
