April was our first full month in Lockdown and, for the UK, it may prove to be our only month, if the speculation is to be believed right now. I’ve been ‘furloughed’ (off work and in receipt of 80% of my basic wage) all throughout but have managed to keep myself relatively active. Flat walks and short distances from my doorstep, where the hills are hard to find.

My First Adventure
This week’s #adventureprompts piece is all about an adventure that didn’t go as according to plan… Which for me, is going to describe my first proper “adventure” as an adult. I thought I’d written about this before but cannot find it on these pages.
‘Tell us about an adventure which didn’t go to plan, but perhaps was all the richer for it.’
Monthly Miles: March 2020
Three months complete and we find ourselves in a state of Lockdown… With plenty of time to spare, my aim is still to keep active as and when I can, while complying with the government’s rules and guidelines.
Walking in Lockdown
It’s been over a week now since the government ordered us in to this ‘Lockdown’ situation – although, I’ve not sure whether they’re officially using that term. Their message is simple: stay inside, only go out when it’s necessary and do this to minimise the inevitable strain on the NHS, when it comes to treating people with this COVID-19/Coronavirus that has plagued the entire planet.
They also recognise the importance of keeping active and maintaining a regular form of exercise. There’s been a common lack of understanding and lack of clarity from the government on some of these restrictions.
