Walking the Cumbria Way: Day 4

Wednesday 21st May 2025

I emerged from my tent on this morning, with a view of an almighty Skiddaw beyond the dry-stone wall. Blue sky for the most part, sun already shining. A youth hostel with all facilities behind me. This was going to be a good start to my penultimate following this trail.

Walking the Cumbria Way: Day 1

As planned out in a previous post, earlier this year; the Cumbria Way would become my first long-distance walk since the Cleveland Way of September 2021.

Planning for my Cumbria Way Walk

Next month, I’ll be heading north to walk 73 miles across the Lake District, following the Cumbria Way. This will be my first long-distance walk since completing the Cleveland Way in 2021. As before; I’ll be carrying all of my kit and camping along the way!

Langdale Pikes (Part 2)

Wednesday 14th September 2022

Continuing on from Part 1, I had reached the plateau of the Langdale Pikes and stopped for lunch. Now, I must walk on towards the true Harrison Stickle before the rest of my walk.
