Wrington and Redhill

A January walk around Wrington and Redhill in North Somerset. My aim was to establish a route that I can use for walk leading with a Brunel Walking Group.

We’re in to March, at the time of writing and I’ve managed to absently bypass this local outing from almost two-months earlier.

I’m going to be leading a walk in early April that starts in Wrington. I’ve been living in this village for over four-years now and have always had it in mind to do this… I’m currently in the position of looking to move (in the hope of finding a brighter and warmer flat) and feel a sense of urgency to get this ticked off the list.

Suddenly, it’s March and the south-west of England has ground to a halt, thanks to a severe dusting of snow.

January, I felt was an overly long and grey month. With February, I was beginning to settle in to the new year. But now, it’s already March and I’m screaming for 2018 to slow down!

East Mendip Way: Cranmore Tower to Frome

My first walk of 2018 would be a positive effort towards completing the East Mendip Way – one of the goals I set out in my ideas for the year ahead.

Having plotted a large circular route, I decided to park in Nunney, which is reasonably close to the midway point of my walk and offers ample free parking near the castle.
