I Bought a Wonnie

An overview and thoughts on the Wonnie action camera (GoPro clone) that I purchased several weeks ago.

A few weeks ago, I treated myself to a Wonnie 4K action camera as an early Christmas present. It’s essentially an ‘affordable’ GoPro clone.

I bought this out of curiosity and also, because my Olympus TG-4 picks up too much auto-focus noise from the camera’s lens while I’m filming outdoors.

Llansteffan Circular Walk (Wales Coast Path)

Thursday 16th November 2017

I’d booked the day off work, plus a further three to follow. This Thursday was officially the start of my long-weekend away in Pembrokeshire – my first ever visit to this corner of Wales – and part of Brunel Walking Group’s annual “Christmas” Away Weekend.

Having booked my own accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of the Youth Hostel, I was travelling alone. Leaving my home in North Somerset by 9am that morning, I stood a good chance of reaching Carmarthenshire by midday.

Posset Round Walk

Sunday 5th November 2017

Bonfire night! But, before all of that, I drove over towards Portishead for a fairly local walk with Brunel Walking Group.

I found it refreshing to be able to drive across North Somerset and avoid Bristol altogether, on this one. We would all meet and start close to Clapton-in-Gordano, with a number of us parking our cars within the darkness of the M5 flyover.

How I Plan A Walk
