Welcome to 2018!
Before we look ahead to what may lie in store this year, I’d like to spend some time reflecting upon some of my personal highlights and achievements from 2017.

A round-up of December’s mileage and final review of my #walk1000miles challenge in 2017.
If you’ve been following my progress with the #walk1000miles challenge this year, you’ll know that I already completed the challenge (by a single mile) at the end of November.
For me, the pressure was off during December. I was free to walk as few or as many miles as I would choose; every weekend or not.
Looking back at my AirBnB accomodation from a long weekend in Pembrokeshire – November 2017.
When I intended to join Brunel Walking Group for a long weekend in Pembrokeshire last month, I could’ve bear the thought of sharing a Youth Hostel – let alone any space – with anywhere between fifty and sixty people. I’d seen images of the YHA; it looked both modern and full of facilities. Maybe one day I’ll feel more comfortable in approaching such a situation.
I didn’t want to miss out on this weekend, as I have done for each of the previous four years. This left me with the decision to find my own accomodation, for which I eventually turned to the AirBnB website.
An overview and thoughts on the Wonnie action camera (GoPro clone) that I purchased several weeks ago.
A few weeks ago, I treated myself to a Wonnie 4K action camera as an early Christmas present. It’s essentially an ‘affordable’ GoPro clone.
I bought this out of curiosity and also, because my Olympus TG-4 picks up too much auto-focus noise from the camera’s lens while I’m filming outdoors.
