This was my first walk on a trip to Devon back in November. Staying just outside of Horrabridge, I was definitely looking to do some walks on Dartmoor. But to start off my week, I could access this riverside circular walk from the rear gate of my chosen accommodation.

To Walk the Isle of Wight Coast Path

This was supposed to be the day in which I travelled down to Portsmouth and crossed the Solent on to the Isle of Wight. My plan, of course, was to walk the Isle of Wight Coast Path.

Planning for my Cumbria Way Walk

Next month, I’ll be heading north to walk 73 miles across the Lake District, following the Cumbria Way. This will be my first long-distance walk since completing the Cleveland Way in 2021. As before; I’ll be carrying all of my kit and camping along the way!

To the Lake District

It won’t be long now before I begin the long drive up in to the north-west of England. In all my ten years of walking, I’ve never once set foot in the Lake District proper (unless you count a stop at Tebay services on the way up to Scotland back in June…). This trip could be interoperated as a bit of a celebration for my decade of hiking around the UK.
