Planning the Cleveland Way

Having now booked a week off work, it’s pretty much official that I’ll be walking the Cleveland Way National Trail in June 2020.

In this post, I’ll be looking at my plans and daily itinerary for tackling the trail. With three months to go and this being a part of the country I’ve not previously explored, a lot could change between now and then!

Clevedon to Walton Coastal Walk

Monday 17th February 2020

It was the Monday morning after a weekend of Storm Dennis. One week earlier, the UK was recovering from Storm Ciara. Two storms ruining consecutive weekends… I decided to take advantage of my day off and go for a walk.

Uncovering Hillforts?

I read recently in North Somerset Life of plans to uncover an Iron Age hillfort in Weston-super-Mare (yes, really… This seaside town has at least one hill!). Worlebury Camp has been obscured by trees for more than 200 years. By the standards of the past, it wouldn’t make for a very good fort or settlement today.
