Walking the Polden Way

My first ever walk on the Polden Hills in Somerset and exploring the length of the Polden Way.

Sunday 22nd November 2020

I was born in Bristol and have grown up in North Somerset. Since 2012, I’ve been roaming the Mendip Hills along with other parts of Somerset. But I’d not previously been down to the Polden Hills… On the Somerset Levels, just south of Street and Glastonbury.

My One Welsh Walk

A circular walk in the Brecon Beacons/Black Mountains. Introducing two friends to Sugar Loaf for the first time.

Sunday 18th October 2020

I drove twenty-minutes or so to arrive at Horton-in-Ribblesdale. Pen y Ghent was in my sights – the last of Yorkshire’s Three Peaks, having conquered Whermside and Ingleborough in the previous days.

“Inglebugger”

A 15 mile walk in the Yorkshire Dales. Up, over and around Ingleborough – TWICE – in one day!

Wedndesday 16th September 2020

This was the one walk and mountain I’d most been looking forward to during my Yorkshire Dales trip. Another that I could approach directly from the campsite. No need to step in to my car (although it was a useful space in which to store muddy boots and keep the tent relatively clean).
