#walk1000miles 2017: I’ve done it!! With an entire month to spare! 😀
I’ve done it! As of last night, I’ve officially completed my #walk1000miles challenge and with one whole month to spare!
At the end of October, I had 922.25 miles in the bag. Let’s take a look at how November 2017 went.
A walk centred around the Uffington White Horse in Oxfordshire. We tackled this one after completing the White Horse Trail around Wiltshire.
As if it wasn’t enough to have visited all of the Wiltshire White Horses across 2017, Jo had one more in store for us, just over the border in Oxfordshire.
We drove east along the M4 motorway, one last time. Departing for Swindon East, to later arrive the the pay-and-display car park (free for National Trust members) at White Horse Hill.
2017 marks the eighteen-year anniversary of Brunel Walking Group.
Back in September, our current chairman (David) decided to host a repeat of the group’s first ever walk; a loop beginning in Cheddar that also follows a portion of the West Mendip Way.

We marched on, heading south now, with thoughts of completing the walk – and the challenge – in our minds. Not to mention, the post-walk picnic celebrations.
